Company branding was incorporated to the overall color scheme of the dossier.  A more minimalistic/softer color scheme was implemented to minimize the vibrating affect certain colors have when place together in order to not overwhelm the end user.  The colors added within the line chart are based on the product branding.  Users can increase the browser zoom to enlarge.  This is the initial landing page when the user accesses this dossier, they can click on the following link to access the more granular details

The initial design created included a customized alignment map, later this was replaced with a clustered bar chart to keep both web and mobile version streamlined visually as well as from a development perspective (less dossiers to maintain).  No functionality was lost in replacing the alignment map with a clustered bar chart (Level and targeting functionality remains the same).  Thresholds were applied to clearly indicate performance across alignment to end users.  Line Chart color scheme was based on the product branding, end users can clear associate the line color with the product at first glance.

For the Market Share Dashboard this dashboard was being redesigned from an existing dashboard that was over 10 years old.  I felt a customized icon needed to be created so that users could clearly associate specifically which dashboard they are accessing.  A lot of the icons being utilized are generically provided and don’t really convey any real association.

There are two versions of the Market Share Dashboard however the overall design, content and data are the same between dossiers but aligned to different salesforces.  I wanted to create similar style icons but have them identifiable based on the color scheme implemented.  One salesforce sells a specific product that the other two do not and based on that knowledge I implement a product branding-based color palette within one icon and a company branding color palette within the other icon.  Each icon from a color scheme perspective is differs from the other which I believe clearly indicates there is a distinction between both dashboards.

The contents of the icon were taken from the contents within the Market Share Dashboard

  • Alignment Map/Geography of the Dashboard

  • The visualizations that were implemented within the dashboard

  • The first icon utilizes a company branding based color scheme.

  • The second Icon utilizes a product brand-based color scheme.

  • Both icons were also added as design elements to user functionality documentation.
