Financial Dashboard

Method of Dashboard Development: MicroStrategy Dossier

Overview

Displays a holistic view of Plan, Estimated, Estimated Shipped, Actual and Actual Shipped Dollars.

Finance Dashboard 1.jpg

This dashboard was designed to be utilized in client demonstrations to showcase capabilities.  The company branding was very minimal (charcoal and a light green).  I didn’t want this dashboard to appear too dark, so the main colors utilized was the accent color as the main theme to distinguish the style from other dossiers.  Usually, KPIs are listed above the visualizations/charts but I decided to play around with the positioning and place them vertical instead of horizontal.  Keeping the KPI’s on the left-hand side since the main audience would be Western based clients in which the reading is structured left to right.
The KPIs show consolidated totals of the information displayed in the bar chart and line chart to give a quick insight to these values before viewing the monthly level details.
